Rent committee

The rent committee (Huurcommissie) is an independent organization who will address issues between landlords and tenants on their request regarding rent, service charges and negligence of maintenance. The rent committee conducts research and gives legally binding orders to both parties. They will provide information and it costs 25€ to start a procedure.

If you pay too much, you can start a procedure. The “Huurteam” can assist you with this. First do our check of rent points before contacting them to help you start a procedure with the rent committee.

At the “Huurommissie” is it not possible to start a procedure for things like repossession costs, advances and the like. They won’t address other problems between tenant and landlord either.
